Ten Magickal Instruments
Mythical musickal mathoms. Play them to activate their powers.
Aevarr’s Tabor. A small snare drum with a strap, allowing it to be played with one hand. The musician may spend Resolve to cause nearby humans and fairies to dance uncontrollably.
Amdusias’ Screamer. A ghastly wind instrument; blowing into it produces a dissonant shriek that causes a Wound to any body part the musician chooses. This costs one Resolve, and can only be done once per day.
Amphion’s Lyre. The musician may spend Resolve to move a nearby item weighing up to 1,000 pounds via telekinesis.
Archdruid’s Lyre. The musician may charm and communicate with birds, fish, and rabbits.
Atlas Conch. The musician may spend Resolve to summon a wave that lasts a Round or a downpour that lasts a Turn.
Endellion’s Ocarina. A pocket-sized vessel flute. Playing it has no special effect; however, its bearer may spend Resolve to make it play itself from any distance away.
Harridan’s Hurdy-Gurdy. Produces a bewitching drone. The musician may spend Resolve to put one or more creatures in a trance that lasts for as long as it is played—one Resolve per creature.
Liliwin’s Rebec. A small fiddle carved from ash. By spending Resolve, the musician produces a random Minor Arcana magick word that can be added to a spell or used on its own.
Minnorie’s Harp. A frame of bone and strings of golden hair. When in the presence of a murderer, it plays a haunting melody on its own.
Rowland’s Horn. A weathered ivory horn. Its blast is heard by everyone.
